Getting Started

  • Therapy can be beneficial for anyone seeking to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, or navigate life's challenges more effectively. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many of our clients come to us during times of transition, growth, or simply when they want to invest in their mental wellness.

  • Most clients have their first session within 48 hours of their consultation call.

  • Your first session is an opportunity for you and your therapist to get to know each other. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you might have. This is also a time for you to ask questions and determine if you feel comfortable with your therapist's approach.

  • We'll find you a new match immediately, no questions asked. Most of our clients love their first match.

  • The length of therapy varies greatly depending on your individual goals and circumstances. Some clients find significant benefit in just a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support over months or years. We'll regularly check in about your progress and adjust our approach as needed.

Practical Questions

  • We are currently out-of-network providers, which means we do not bill insurance directly.

    However, we can assist with billing by submitting superbills to your insurance company to facilitate your reimbursement and claims tracking

    Many of our clients find that their insurance covers a portion of their sessions.

    Happy Apple is an out-of-network provider.

  • Our individual therapy sessions are typically $200-275 per session.

    Sessions with Dr. Vaughan are $350.

    We believe in transparent pricing and will discuss all costs during your consultation call.

  • Yes, we offer a sliding scale to those who cannot afford the full fee. Please get in touch to discuss your options.

  • Yes, we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant online sessions for clients who prefer the convenience of virtual therapy or who are unable to come to our offices. Our clients say online sessions are just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns. Click here to Book Online

  • Happy Apple® Therapy Center is a full-service psychotherapy practice. We offer therapy and coaching to children, teens, adults, families, individuals, and couples. Common areas of treatment are anxiety, depression, low self-worth, stress, LGBTQ concerns, trauma, behavioral & school issues, life transitions (parenthood, marriage, loss, new job, retirement), couples concerns, premarital counseling, and personal growth. With several therapists on board, we are nearly always able to match client goals with therapist specialization.

  • Unlike large platforms that provide endless options, we focus on curation and quality. We carefully select and vet our therapists, ensuring that each one demonstrates exceptional clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to create meaningful therapeutic relationships. We also provide personalized matching to help you find the right fit.

  • Our therapists are trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Internal Family systems Therapy (IFT), and mindfulness-based interventions. We tailor our approach to your specific needs and preferences.

  • During your complimentary consultation, we'll discuss your concerns, goals, and preferences. Based on this conversation, we'll recommend a therapist whose expertise, approach, and personality we believe will be the best fit for your unique situation.

    • Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM

    Weekend Hours (online therapy)

    • Saturday-Sunday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
